Terrace and live music
The terrace is where our evenings happen. Tables fill after sunset, the kitchen sends out Turkish and world dishes, pizza and fresh seafood, and the music starts. It is real live music, played by people who are standing a few metres from your table. We have been serving in this same neighbourhood in Oba since 1992, so most evenings you will see faces we know. The terrace is the stage. There is no separate music room and no speaker in the corner playing a playlist. Someone plays here every evening, and the sound sits under the tables rather than over them, so people can still talk. Early in the evening families take the tables near the playground, which is the largest of its kind in Alanya. Later the terrace fills and stays full until the music stops.
Most tables start with food. Turkish and world cuisine come out of the same kitchen, so one table can order pizza, fresh seafood and something Turkish at the same time. Then the plates go and nobody stands up. The bar stays open beside you: wine, cocktails from around the world, beer, and coffee for anyone slowing down. That is how dinner here turns into a long evening. After more than thirty years, we are used to it.
