Breakfast in Oba
Breakfast here is its own part of the day. The kitchen starts at 09:00, every day of the week. We bring the English breakfast to the table in a cast iron skillet, still hot: grilled sausages, bacon, fried eggs, mushrooms, grilled tomato and baked beans. The classic full British plate, nothing swapped out. Coffee comes from the bar list. We have been on this corner of Oba since 1992, so most mornings you will see faces we know.
Walk through the terrace and the dining room in the 360° tour below, and pick your morning table before you leave the house.
One skillet, six things, all cooked together and carried straight from the stove. Grilled sausages. Bacon. Fried eggs. Mushrooms. A grilled tomato. Baked beans. That is the full British breakfast, the way people who grew up with it expect to find it. The pan keeps the heat, so the last bite is as warm as the first. If you want coffee with it, it is on the bar list. Prices are not published online, so ask us at the table.
Oba wakes up slowly. The street is quiet, the terrace is still cool, and nobody is in a hurry. That is the part of the day we like best here. Breakfast starts at 09:00, every day, and the morning belongs to it. In the evening this same terrace carries live music. In the morning it carries the sound of the street, the coffee and the pans. The 360° virtual tour, photographed by G360, shows the terrace exactly as it is.
We have Alanya's largest kids' playground, and it is there in the morning as well. Children run, parents eat while the food is still hot, and nobody minds the noise. We have been in this neighbourhood for more than thirty years, so we know how families eat. If you are travelling with small children, breakfast is the easiest meal of the day to bring them to.
